How to Prolong the Service Life of Q-type Rotary Joints & Relevant Solutions2026-07-09Q-type rotary joints can be selected according to the type, temperature, pressure and rotating speed of transmission media. Proper maintenance during operation is essential to extend their service life. Please refer to the guidelines below:
Pay attention to the alignment during installation. Ensure the joint is concentric with pipelines. For threaded rotary joints, make sure the rotation direction of the inner pipe thread is consistent with that of the roller. Connect the inlet and outlet of the joint with hoses to reduce load on interfaces.
Conduct regular inspection and maintenance to prevent medium leakage. Carry out timely repairs once leakage occurs. Avoid heavy knocking during installation and disassembly to prevent damage to the joint.
For rotary joints requiring regular disinfection, control the concentration of disinfectant to avoid component damage caused by improper operation.
There are more operational precautions for Q-type rotary joints to be summarized in practical use. We provide free technical consultation for any questions.

Development Prospect of the Rotary Joint Industry2026-06-10A rotary joint, also known as a pressure rotary joint or rotating union abroad, is used to connect external pipelines of mechanical equipment. In the early days, people wrapped sealing materials around rotating shafts to prevent medium leakage by friction and compression. Though low in cost, the technology was primitive. Such solutions only lasted for a few days and required frequent maintenance. Frequent leakage often led to equipment downtime and severely hampered operational efficiency.Since the 21st century, rotary joints with sealing components made of metal, graphite, rubber and other materials have been widely adopted at home and abroad. They effectively stop leakage and extend service life, helping enterprises boost economic benefits. Most foreign products adopt multi-layer sealing structures for zero leakage, yet their complicated craftsmanship results in difficult and costly maintenance for manufacturers. In recent years, China has extensively introduced advanced overseas technologies. Domestic manufacturers are now capable of producing full-range rotary joints featuring high cost performance and easy maintenance.Shandong Jiuxuan Aerospace Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has been awarded one of China’s Top Ten Reputable Brands for Quality of Rotary Joints & Metal Hoses, and recognized as a Provincial Trustworthy Enterprise for Contracts.
